Plus-Size Hoodies UK: Big Sizes Up to 5XL and 6XL

Plus-Size Hoodies UK: Big Sizes Up to 5XL and 6XL

Too often, bigger sizes get fewer choices: plainer designs, the wrong proportions, or the size you need is "out of stock". It should not be that way. Every design deserves to be available in every size. Here is how to find a hoodie that fits well in a bigger size, and what we make.

Big sizes at Vazzari

Most of our hoodies and men's tees run up to 5XL, and our all-over-print shirts and zip hoodies, leggings and most bikinis go up to 6XL. You can see everything in our big sizes collection.

Because every piece is made to order, larger sizes are not "sold out" just because a warehouse ran low. Nothing is made until it is ordered, so the design you want is there in your size.

How to measure for a plus-size hoodie

Use a hoodie that fits

Lay a hoodie you like flat. Measure straight across from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the top of the shoulder to the hem (body length).

Compare with our charts

Every product page lists measurements in centimetres and inches, and so does our size guide.

For example, our organic hoodies in Nouveau Noir and Blanc Éclat measure:

Size Chest width (flat) Body length
3XL 77 cm / 30.3" 80 cm / 31.5"
4XL 83 cm / 32.7" 83 cm / 32.7"
5XL 89 cm / 35" 86 cm / 33.9"

These are the figures listed on our product pages at the time of writing.

Know the fit

  • Organic hoodies (Nouveau Noir 2075, Blanc Éclat Society): comfortable unisex fit, XS to 5XL.
  • Classic Cotton hoodies (Experimental Collection): S to 3XL, and they run small, so size up one.

How a bigger-size hoodie should fit

Shoulders

The seam should sit at or just past your shoulder. Too far down and the whole hoodie looks oversized in the wrong way.

Chest and stomach

You want room to move without the fabric clinging or pulling. A hoodie that drapes straight down from the chest is the most flattering shape.

Length

The hem should sit at your hips, covering your belt. Too short rides up; too long can make the legs look shorter.

Sleeves

Cuffs should reach the wrist. A little stacking is fine.

Styling tips

Dark, clean jeans and a belt

The same formula we use for every hoodie. Dark denim in a straight cut creates a clean line from waist to shoe, and a belt keeps everything in place.

Choose one strong graphic

A single, centred graphic draws the eye up and in. Black hoodies with bold artwork, such as the Escape Matrix Hoodie, are a great example.

Tonal outfits

Head-to-toe black or navy creates one long line.

Structured layers

An open overcoat or structured jacket over a hoodie adds shape.

Shoes with some substance

Chunkier trainers or boots balance proportions better than very slim shoes.

Tees and more in big sizes

  • DCR Society tees: XS to 5XL, 100% cotton, regular fit.
  • Pure Code heavyweight tees: oversized fit up to 4XL.
  • All-over-print zip hoodies: up to 6XL.

Colour choices

Dark colours such as black and navy are classic choices, but do not feel limited to them. A bold colour or a white hoodie can look brilliant in any size when the fit is right. Wear what makes you feel confident.

Returns

If the fit is not right, returns are free within 30 days of delivery. See our shipping and returns page.

Why made to order helps bigger sizes

In traditional fashion, brands produce fewer pieces in the largest sizes because they are worried about unsold stock. That is why bigger sizes so often sell out first, or never get made in the most interesting designs.

Made to order removes that problem. Because nothing is made until it is ordered, there is no reason to make fewer large sizes, and no reason to limit the designs available in them. Every design we list is available in every listed size, and it is made just for you. That is also better for the planet: no unsold piles, and less waste.

Building a big-size wardrobe

A versatile set of pieces covers most plans:

  • A black graphic hoodie for evenings and nights out
  • A coloured Classic Cotton hoodie for weekends (size up one)
  • Two graphic tees
  • Dark straight jeans with a sturdy leather belt
  • Clean trainers and boots
  • A structured coat

Caring for your hoodie

A good fit only lasts if the hoodie keeps its shape. Wash inside out at 30°C or below on a gentle cycle, and avoid high-heat drying, which can shrink cotton. Dry it flat or over a rack.
